How to Configure your Netscape E-mail

Before configuring the Mail program you will need to know our POP and SMTP information;

POP3   =   mail.bmic.net

SMTP   =   mail.bmic.net

Write this down because you WILL need it later.

Netscape

Start Netscape Communicator

Click Edit
Click Preferences

Click the + beside Mail & Newsgroups

Click Identity
Type your name in the box titled Your name
Type your bmic.net email address in the box titled Email address

Click Mail Servers on the left side
In the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) server: box type mail.bmic.net
In the Outgoing mail server username: box, type your username (the part of your email address before the @)
Click mail under Incoming Mail Servers
Click Edit

In the Server Name: box, type mail.bmic.net
Leave Server Type: set to POP3 Server
In the User Name: box, type your username (the part of your email address before the @)
Click Ok
Click Ok on the Preferences box.
