Windows XP Dial-Up Connection Instructions
The following are instructions along with illustrations on how to configure the Dial-Up Networking feature with Windows XP for a connection to BMIC.NET.
Click Start
Click Connect To
Click Show all connections
Click create a new connection
Click Next
Click the option connect to the Internet
Click Next
Click Set up my connection manually
Click Next
Click connect using a dial-up modem
Click Next
Type bmic.net into the ISP Name Box
Click Next
Type 248-3050 into the Phone Number box
Click next
Type your username in the username box
Type your Password into the Password box
Type your Password into the Confirm Password box
Notes: refer to top sheet of this document if necessary for your username and password
Your username and password are case sensitive, Jsmith is not considered the same as jsmith .
Your password will appear as a series of dots when you type it in.
Click next
Click Finish
The Dial Up Connection Screen should appear
Click Dial to connect to the Internet
Once connected
Click the X in the upper right hand corner of network connections to close
Double click the Internet Explorer Icon on your desktop.
Click Tools
Click Internet Options
Click the Connections Tab
Click Always dial my default connection
Click Ok
You are set up to connect to the Internet through BMIC.NET
To connect again in the future, simply double click on the
Icon, then click dial to connect.
